The University of Exeter’s innovative Level 6 MSc Degree Apprenticeship in Diagnostic Radiography is helping to fill a gap in the NHS workforce by offering apprentices the opportunity to earn while they learn, working embedded in the NHS as they study for their Masters from a Russell Group university. Hosted by Programme Lead Jenny Shepherd, this episode explores the experience of employers in supporting and hosting students as they study.
Gill Kite (Superintendent Radiographer and Radiology governance lead for Northern Services) and Karl Nottage (Lead Practice Educator for Northern Services) from Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Trust share insights into this innovative and accelerated two-year programme’s benefits, challenges, and its impact on apprentices and the radiology workforce.
